I have seen some that were basically all white that are great sandbed stirrers. Do you have any idea whether these are just baby brittles or some of the tiny ones?

I am not used to seeing them in that coloration, mine are pretty much white.

Skip, if they are thick they are sand sifting stars. They just sit under the sand and graze. The brittle usually hide in the rocks. If they are white and look misshaped, they could be asternia stars. Can you get a pic?

They are the mini brittle stars but they are tan-white. They stay under an inch in diameter (with their arms spread) and other than color look just like the pics Sadie posted.
