Hey all I was wondering if ya all could pick a hitchhiker and give its care and info on it as well as a pics such as the following
hitch hiker name
reef safe ?
what it eats ,
where it hails from .
Good or bad
and anyother info that may be of help .
If we can get a good data base that would help people ID the hitchhikers and wether it is good bad or ugly . I would like to see the same format for algeas as well come on folks we have some good minds here

Hitch hikers are relatively easy, assuming there is a decent pic. Algeas, on the other hand are a lot more difficult. You really have to know their make up/how they grow and a few other things but a species name can be a start.
You may want to set up a hitch hiker thread and maybe an algae database.or something like that.

There already is an extensive algal database on the net at www.algaebase.org . The hitchhiker database is a pretty good idea. Some of the stuff we hate to find in our tanks others intentionally keep, a good example is a mantis shrimp. That being said the care and requirements of each is also a good addition.

That is what I thought if we could get a database like that flowing some folks like to "keep" thier hitchhikers as their "pet"
