stomatellas @ lzrlvr> |
hi my 12 gal nano seems to be doing well, there are many stomatella snails in the tank.i have isopods crawling around the rock, sand and glass, there are white flatworms in the tank and some very small reddish ones on the glass.i still have some copepods but less than i had before.i have 4 small hard shelled snails crawling around they are getting a little larger but i have not been able to identify them yet.i have also seen a small bristle worm crawling around but last time i saw it was about 3 days ago.i had cyanobacteria on portions of my rock then it began to grow on my live sand i cleaned it from the rock and it did not grow back.the cyano began to grow heavier on the live sand i tried to remove the cyano from the sand and it helped a little.ok now a couple interesting things that followed i woke up saturday morning and i noticed the amount of cyano on the sand was greatly reduced,on the glass were about 6 or 7 of the larger stomatellas in my tank all of them looked to be around 1/2 inch long.i think they may have helped to vacuum up some of the cyano.the other thing i noticed later that day, i was looking at the tank when i saw little wisps that looked something like smoke coming from my upper rock,i took a closer look with my magnifying glass and i saw 2 or 3 stomatellas one was giving off what i think was molt(the wisps of smoke) i think that i saw them in the process of reproduction.i also have many syncoid(pineapple sponges).very happy to see some life.no livestock yet.lets bring some life to this party!thank you and bye for now.
